South Carolina adds commitment from 4-star TE in class of 2024
South Carolina is continuing to make progress in the class of 2024.
The Gamecocks added a commitment from 4-star tight end Michael Smith on Tuesday afternoon.
He made the announcement during a ceremony at his high school:

Smith is a major addition to South Carolina’s 2024 recruiting class. He’s the No. 134 overall player and the No. 6 tight end in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Listed at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Smith has the frame to be an early contributor in South Carolina’s offense. He attends Calvary Day School in Savannah, Georgia.
Smith also had offers from programs like Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, Auburn and Florida, to name a few.
