Iowa State is the latest athletic program dealing with potential betting issues.

The Big 12 program released a statement Monday saying it is aware of wagering allegations involving 15 active student-athletes in multiple sports, including football.

“Iowa State University and its Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is aware of online sports wagering allegations involving approximately 15 of our active student-athletes from the sports of football, wrestling and track & field in violation of NCAA rules. The university has notified the NCAA and will take the appropriate actions to resolve these issues.”

Iowa State’s announcement comes just hours after it was revealed that Iowa baseball is the subject of an investigation involving players sitting out. Last week, Alabama fired baseball coach Brad Bohannon after bets involving the Crimson Tide baseball team were halted in Ohio, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In April, Jameson Williams headlined a group of 5 NFL players suspended for violations of the league’s gambling policy.
