Another five-star defender taking an official to Auburn

Let’s call it the Will Muschamp effect.

Five-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson confirmed to multiple outlets that he’ll take an official visit to Auburn this weekend. That’s massive, considering the Florida native is one of the most sought after uncommitted prospects in the country.

Jefferson has publicly said Ole Miss is his leader and was blown away on his official visit, but the Florida Gators, Jefferson’s long-time favorite program, are also right in the mix.

However, Auburn has now entered the picture, mostly based on Jefferson’s relationship with Muschamp, who has recruited him throughout his high school career. Coincidentally, Jefferson’s visit aligns with another five-star prospect in defensive lineman Byron Cowart, who also is high on the Gators. Fellow five-star defensive end Terry Beckner, Jr., and athlete Terry Godwin are also expected in.

This weekend is critical for Auburn to rebuild its defense under Muschamp.
