Lane Kiffin has added a proven weapon to his group of inexperienced, but talented, core of wide receivers.

Oregon State graduate transfer Richard Mullaney tweeted that he’s committed to Alabama on Monday, choosing the Crimson Tide after a visit to campus.

A former three-star recruit out of Thousand Oaks, Ca., caught 83 passes for 1,160 yards and five touchdowns during his career with the Beavers but missed the second half of last season with an elbow injury. During the 2013 campaign, Mullaney recorded a pair of 100-yard games.

The physical 6-foot-3, 209-pound pass-catcher is eligible to play immediately. It’s big news for the Crimson Tide who saw their three most productive wide receivers leave the program after last season including Biletnikoff winner and single-season record setter, Amari Cooper.
