We’ll never know the whole story, but Auburn wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig clarified some details about D’haquille Williams’ “discipline issue.”

Williams missed six practices with the Tigers while he was away from the team.

Gus Malzahn reinstated Williams on Thursday, but he offered little details about the situation.

Thankfully, Craig shed some light on the subject.

“It’s a certain standard that we have here at Auburn University and as far as the way we’re going to practice and being accountable, and that’s it,” Craig said, via AL.com. “It wasn’t no more or no less and I can promise you that.

“There wasn’t no altercation, there wasn’t no arguments, so we can stop the speculation.”

Anytime coaches are mute on a discipline issue, rumors tend to swirl. Craig wanted to make sure there wasn’t a certain altercation that caused the temporary suspension.

Craig continued, “Duke has never said one word back to a coach, not one word. Never has talked back, never been disrespectful.”

Hopefully for Auburn’s and Williams’ sake, everything will be smooth sailing this season. However, Williams probably doesn’t have many more chances, if any at all.
