The coaching rumor mill is in full effect, especially surrounding Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin.

In addition to some head coaching rumors, Kiffin has been linked to Ed Orgeron and LSU in terms of becoming the Tigers’ offensive coordinator next season.

Mario Cristobal, the Crimson Tide’s offensive line coach, has also been linked to an opening.

However, on his Thursday radio show, head coach Nick Saban said everyone on his staff has been completely focused on the upcoming SEC Championship Game:

Saban knows assistants at top-ranked programs are always going to be coveted for open jobs at other schools (see Kirby Smart and Jim McElwain, among others), but he said the best way to not let the rumors affect the current team is by working the interviews into convenient time slots:

The Crimson Tide play Florida in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday and then possibly have two more College Football Playoff games ahead of them, so it could be a while before any of Saban’s assistants are officially on the move to other programs.
