Alabama earned an exciting 24-20 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa, but it wasn’t easy.

In fact, the Alabama defense needed a last-second stop in order to escape with a win. The play was made by DB Terrion Arnold, who had some interesting comments after the game.

Per AL.com, Arnold said he was keying on Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher ahed of the final play and knew it was coming to 5-star freshman WR Evan Stewart:

“He’s going ‘Evan, Evan, Evan,’” Arnold recalled.

Arnold was able to put himself in position to stop the would-be winning touchdown even though he said Stewart ran a good route:

“It was a great route,” Arnold said, “and I was in perfect position and able to make a play.”

The play may have saved Alabama’s undefeated season. We’ll see if Arnold and the Alabama defense have more big plays up their sleeves heading into Knoxville to take on the undefeated Tennessee Volunteers next weekend.
