The one position that seems to have plagued Alabama the most during the Nick Saban era has already been addressed for the 2019 recruiting cycle as in-state prospect Will Reichard committed to the Crimson Tide on Wednesday.

Rated as the nation’s No. 2 kicker, Hoover native Reichard picked the Crimson Tide over scholarship offers from Georgia, Oklahoma and Oregon. 247Sports Composite Rankings list Reichard as a three-star prospect, which is generally as high as a specialist is ranked by the service.

In his statement announcing his commitment to the Tide, Reichard pledges to “change the culture of kickers at Alabama” during his time in Tuscaloosa. Alabama already had the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class and Reichard’s addition boosts the Tide’s lofty standing in that ranking.
