Alabama has been adding to its off-field coaching staff recently and on Tuesday, the Crimson Tide reportedly made another big hire.

This one comes in the form of an ex-Auburn assistant who will now cross rivalry lines to serve under Nick Saban.

Per FootballScoop.com, former Auburn WR Cornelius Williams will join Alabama’s staff as an analyst for the 2022 season:

Per the FootballScoop.com report, Williams spent a brief period of time on Bryan Harsin’s Auburn staff last season:

Williams joined Bryan Harsin’s new staff last year after six seasons at Troy, but was let go before the new regime’s first SEC game. The move came after Auburn had to piece together a second half rally to defeat Georgia State.

Now, he’ll join an experienced Alabama staff. Working under Saban has launched assistants to bigger jobs before. We’ll see if Williams follows that trend.
