Before Alabama’s 42-21 victory over the Ole Miss Rebels, head coach Lane Kiffin told the CBS college football audience to get their popcorn ready, a statement that would haunt Kiffin later as the world watched his Rebels get beaten badly.

So naturally, it was time for a little payback from Alabama and the Crimson Tide did it in a very funny way. Bama’s mascot, Big Al, came out in a popcorn outfit to troll Kiffin for his comments.

The question is, how was Alabama able to do it so quickly?

AL.com may have an answer. According to its report, Alabama had the costume for years and used it at basketball games.

Once they heard Kiffin’s comments, university officials thought it would be the perfect time to pull it out and give the Rebels head coach a taste of his own medicine, which worked because the video and pictures of Big Al in a popcorn suit went viral.
