Alabama women’s basketball earns program’s first win in Thompson-Boling Arena
Alabama got a big win Thursday night by beating Tennessee 72-63. How big was it? It was the first time in the history of the women’s basketball program that the Crimson Tide have won in Thompson-Boling Arena.
The win was Alabama’s first in 23 appearances in the arena. Adding further insult for Tennessee, the Tide have now won four consecutive games over the Lady Vols.
Following the game, Tennessee falls to 21-5 overall, and 9-4 in the SEC. Alabama rises to 16-10 overall and 6-7 in league play.
