Arch Manning didn’t play in Texas’s 34-24 win over No. 3 Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night.

That’s not a huge surprise, as Manning is seemingly third on the Longhorns’ QB depth chart. But don’t tell fans on social media about that fact.

As Jalen Milroe struggled to move the ball through the air at times for the Crimson Tide offense, fans were wondering if Manning (who was recruited by Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and others before committing to Texas) could end up in crimson before his college career ends.

Check out some of the social media reaction to the possibility of Manning transferring to Alabama in the near future:

There’s absolutely no indication that Manning is considering a transfer or is unhappy in any way in Austin. But we all know how social media works, of course!

The longer we don’t see Manning on the field for the Longhorns, the more speculation we’ll see about his future in college football.
