It’s been a rough few years for the Big 12, a conference that has seen Nebraska leave for the Big Ten and Mizzou and Texas A&M ship off to the SEC.

Now, the conference is in a downswing, and that was especially clear over the weekend at the 2017 NFL Draft.

NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah pointed out on Twitter Tuesday evening that Alabama had more defenders selected at the draft than the entire Big 12:

The Crimson Tide are unlikely to be able to repeat such a feat next year, but don’t count them out, especially if the Big 12 continues to watch as offenses rack up huge point and yardage totals.
