The past 10 years have been very kind to Alabama with the Tide adding five national titles to their trophy case since 2009.

Damien Harris has been part of the program that has gone to the College Football Playoff championship game for three straight years and won two titles.

All that winning doesn’t present Alabama with many problems, but it does present the possible issue of boredom. It’s difficult to stay motivated coming home with a win every Saturday.

For the Crimson Tide running back, just the title seems to be enough.

“National Championships,” he said Wednesday at SEC Media Days when asked what motivates the program.

The Crimson Tide will attempt to win their second consecutive title this upcoming season with Harris playing a major role in the backfield.

As a senior, he’ll try for his third straight year of 1,000 yards rushing after his yards per carry average last season ranked second all-time for a Crimson Tide running back in a single season with at least 100 carries.

If Harris can produce at a similar level in 2018, Alabama should be able to maintain its spot close to the top and have a chance to repeat as national champions.
