The latest “Game of the Century” has lived up to the hype.

LSU came into Saturday’s game ranked higher than Alabama and have played the better half of football in Tuscaloosa as the Tigers went into the locker room for halftime leading the Crimson Tide 33-13.

Joe Burrow continues his tear on the LSU record book as the quarterback has completed 16 of 18 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns in the first half against Alabama.

Ja’Marr Chase is leading the Tigers in receiving with four catches for 105 yards and a touchdown. Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire also has a rushing touchdown in the game.

Tua Tagovailoa has completed 11 of 18 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown. The Crimson Tide just 26 total rushing yards in the first half and their highlight of the first half came when Jaylen Waddle returned a punt for a touchdown.

When asked about Tua’s status following the first half, here’s what Saban had to say about his QB and his offense.

“Well, I don’t think our whole offense looks like ourselves. I don’t think you can blame it on Tua,” Saban said. “I don’t think it has anything to do with his physical ability. I think we’ve made a lot of mistakes and put ourselves behind the eight-ball with penalties, we haven’t bee able to run the ball effectively and he made a bad decision there at the end of the half.”
