Alabama is, once again, one of the elite teams in college football this season.

The reigning national champions are 5-0 and have been dominant this year, especially early in games. So, how does Nick Saban feel about his squad this year?

ESPN insider Chris Low joined “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning” on WJOX on Thursday to give insight into Saban’s thoughts on the 2021 Crimson Tide:

“Still got a ways to go on offense, especially sorta getting things settled on the offensive line,” Low said. “Of course, this isn’t a revelation, but not nearly as dynamic and explosive at receiver. Gotta continue to develop those younger guys. They brought in some really talented guys. … Overall, in my talks with Nick, they just gotta grow a lot on offense and find out who they are. …

“I think, defensively, their best football is still to come. I think they’re going to get better and better. Thirty-one, Will Anderson, I think is the best defensive player in football. … In talking to Coach Saban, he still feels like they’ve got to play with more discipline. He’s never going to be satisfied with the defense, you guys know that.”

Alabama faces a tough test at Texas A&M on Saturday night. We’ll see if the Tide continue to look like the No. 1 team in the nation.
