Former Alabama All-American Jonathan Allen has played for Washington throughout his NFL career. Allen could not hold back on his frustrations after the Commanders’ latest loss.

Washington lost to the New York Giants 14-7 on Sunday, falling to 3-4 on the season. Allen was understandably frustrated after the game.

“They whupped our ass, plain and simple,” Allen offered as a postgame evaluation.

Allen did not feel the Commanders were surprised by anything the Giants did. He blamed the loss on a lack of focus and attention to deal, as well as failing to get off to a fast start. Allen was asked if that gets frustrating, and he went off going NSFW with the cameras rolling.

“F— yes, it does,” Allen said. “I’m f—— tired of this s—. F—— tired of this bull—. It’s been 7 f—– years of the same s—. I’m tired of this s—.”

Allen had a decorated Alabama career, helping the Crimson Tide win the 2015 national championship. He was a 3-time All-SEC selection from 2014-to-2016, earning SEC Defensive Player of the Year and Unanimous All-American honors in his final season while winning multiple national awards.

Washington drafted Allen No. 17 overall in 2017. During Allen’s time with the team, the franchise has made the playoffs just once, after winning the NFC East in 2020. Individually, Allen earned Pro Bowl selections each of the last 2 seasons.

Allen and the Commanders will try to turn things around in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
