Former Alabama LB Eryk Anders has made a name for himself in the MMA world, racking up an undefeated record in seven fights.

Anders hasn’t even been challenged in the past couple of fights, spending a total of only 2 minutes, 31 seconds in the ring while picking up his last three victories.

On Friday night, he’ll finally have a chance to fight for a title, as he’ll take on Brendan Allen for the first-ever Legacy Fighting Alliance middleweight belt.

If he manages to take down Allen, Anders could end up getting a call from the UFC, which is what the former linebacker is working toward.

During an appearance on The MMA Report podcast, Anders said he is looking forward to the next step in his career after what he expects will be another quick fight on Friday night:

“Any time you go in there and get a first-round victory without taking any damage, you’re definitely doing the right thing and moving in the right direction,” Anders said. “As far as if and when I’ll get a call to UFC, that’s out of my control. The only thing I can do is go out there, get wins, finish people and win in devastating fashion as I have these previous six out of seven fights.

“I plan to go in there and get another early first-round victory again. And if the phone rings, whoever’s on the other end of the line, whether it’s the UFC or the LFA wanting me to defend my belt, it’s whatever. Just send the contract.”

Anders was a big part of the Crimson Tide’s defense in 2009, leading the team with seven tackles in the title game against Texas, which Alabama ended up winning 37-21.

He’ll look to add another title to his athletic resume on Friday night in Houston.
