Former Alabama RB Mark Ingram is reportedly close to becoming a college football analyst.

Media insider Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reports that FOX is closing in on signing Ingram and adding the Heisman Trophy winner to the “Big Noon Kickoff” lineup. Per Marchand, Ingram would be replacing Reggie Bush, who has “squabbled” with FOX over his contract.

Ingram, 33, has yet to formally announce his retirement from the NFL. A first-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Ingram has played for the New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans over 13 seasons.

Ingram spent his first 8 seasons in New Orleans. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens ahead of the 2019 season. After 2 seasons with Baltimore, Ingram landed with Houston in 2021. During the 2021 season, Ingram was traded to New Orleans for his 2nd stint with the Saints.

A 3-time Pro Bowl selection (2014, ’17, ’19), Ingram has rushed for more than 8,000 yards in his career. In 2022, Ingram was lightly used, logging just 62 carries over 10 games (3 starts).
