Former Alabama star safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Sports Trust Advisors, the agency representing the first-round pick of the Packers in 2014, announced the news on Wednesday.

Clinton-Dix, 28, played for the Packers from 2014 into the 2018 season before being traded to Washington during the 2018 campaign. He spent the 2019 season with the Chicago Bears and had a mini-camp tryout with the Houston Texans earlier this offseason.

Prior to the 2020 season, the Cowboys signed him to $2.25 million contract but decided to part ways before the start of the season. He did not play in the NFL during the 2020 season.

In 2016, Clinton-Dix was selected to the Pro Bowl as a Packer. As a pro, he has 16 interceptions and 522 tackles in 96 career games (90 starts).
