Keilan Robinson, a Texas running back, knows a thing or two about the Alabama Crimson Tide. After all, he was on Alabama’s roster in 2019 and 2020.

Prior to 2021, he transferred to Texas, and now he’ll await his chance to face his old squad in Week 2 of the 2022 season.

During a Twitter Spaces session on Tuesday night, Robinson said he thinks Texas has a chance to beat the Tide (via AL.com):

“Ain’t no chip on our shoulder, it’s just a … it might be a chip (because) it’s Texas, because you there’s a few people that might be trying to count us out,” Robinson said in what is now a deleted tweet, “but knowing what I know, seeing what I see every day being here and being there, I know we can beat them boys. We just got to do what we got to do.”

Obviously, this is far from Robinson guaranteeing a win over the Tide. And, if you don’t think your team can win, you might as well not even show up at the stadium for the game. Still, it’ll be interesting to see how Texas looks this year under coach Steve Sarkisian.

Robinson ran for 254 yards and 2 touchdowns with Alabama in 2019. In 2021 with the Longhorns, he ran for 322 yards and 3 scores.
