Kirk Herbstreit discusses why Calvin Ridley is the best receiver in the 2018 NFL Draft
The 2018 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, and when it gets underway in Dallas, Alabama WR Calvin Ridley likely won’t be on the board for very long.
Many analysts believe Ridley is the best receiver in the draft, and his stats the last three years at Alabama (224 catches, 2,781 yards and 19 touchdowns) back that up.
On Tuesday, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit said there’s not much fault to be found in Ridley’s game as he prepares to enter the NFL:
Herbstreit on Calvin Ridley: "I don't know if there's a better receiver in the draft. His route running is exceptional. His acceleration, getting in and out of breaks. When he gets the ball in his hands, you hold your breath with what he can do."

There are a few teams drafting in the middle of the first round that could use an impact receiver — Green Bay, Arizona, Baltimore and Carolina among them.
It’ll be fun to see where Ridley goes, as he could have a big impact as a rookie. It’s a safe bet that he’ll know his NFL future before the first round is over.
