Alabama has been without WR Jerry Jeudy for most of the spring after he suffered an injury that required surgery.

That was a big loss for a receiving corps that has to replace star WR Calvin Ridley this offseason, and on Wednesday, there was more bad news.

Coach Nick Saban confirmed that Jeudy would miss the rest of the spring while also noting that WR Tyrell Shavers injured his toe and will also be out for the rest of the spring session:

Shavers didn’t appear in any games last year, but the former 4-star recruit could have a role on the team this fall.

Jeudy, on the other hand, was likely to receive much more playing time, and he’ll still have a chance to earn that role this summer. It is, however, a detriment that he won’t be able to play in the spring game.
