In the week leading up to the huge matchup between LSU and Alabama, we have seen multiple bulletin-board worthy quotes from both sides.

Whether it was Joe Burrow proclaiming he is not scared of the Alabama defense, or Mack Wilson saying he is ready to “smash somebody”, the pregame hype is at an all-time high.

Nick Saban just raised the stakes.

Saban was asked a simple questions during his weekly radio call-in show on Thursday, about whether or not he will receive or kick if he wins the coin toss in the pregame.

The head coach gave an all-time response.

“To be honest with you, I hope we elect to kick ass, is what I hope we do”, said Saban.

This quote surely got Alabama fans all over the country riled up, as the Tide’s leader is typically not one to give them in public. This even sounds like something Lane Kiffin would have said in his lone year at Tennessee.

Saban knows very well that LSU will provide a challenge no one else has been able to this season, and it seems he will pull out all the stops to get this win. If Alabama is able to beat LSU in Death Valley, it is hard to envision anyone else taking them down through the end of the season.

It didn’t seem possible, but this game just got better. Alabama and LSU kick off at 8 p.m. ET on CBS this Saturday.
