If you go by the Mr. Football awards, Alabama signed the best prospect in the state during the 2020 recruiting cycle.

That’s because Lanett, Ala., native Kristian Story was honored on Wednesday as the latest winner of the Alabama Mr. Football Award. In addition to that news, fellow Alabama signee and in-state prospect Jackson Bratton was honored as the 6A Lineman of the Year today in Alabama.

247Sports Composite Rankings list Story as the No. 6 overall prospect from Alabama in the 2020 recruiting cycle while Bratton is rated as the No. 10 overall in-state prospect.

Story was presented the award on Wednesday during a ceremony while Bratton is in Tuscaloosa and already working toward his career as a member of the Alabama program as he enrolled early in school.

Story rewrote the Alabama high school record books during his career as he scored 166 career touchdowns for Lanett High School, breaking Bo Nix’s previous Alabama state record of 161 carer touchdowns. Story played both ways in high school and projects as a likely defensive back in Nick Saban’s program.
