Every time you looked on Saturday night, Alabama WRs Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith were making huge plays.

Look, we all knew these guys were good. They showed that last year alongside Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy, both of whom went on to be first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Smith probably could have been a Round 1 or Round 2 pick, too, but chose to come back. Waddle wasn’t eligible for the draft yet, as he was only a sophomore in 2019.

Well, the decision to play this fall paid off for both players, and on Saturday night against Georgia, they did something no other WR duo in Alabama history has ever done, each recording more than 150 receiving yards:

Smith had 11 catches for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns. Waddle had 6 grabs for 160 yards and a score.

Both of those guys should continue to make life easier for QB Mac Jones moving forward. Will we see more history being made by them this year?
