In 2019, New Mexico State will make its first-ever trip to Tuscaloosa in 2019, when the Aggies will take on the Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Alabama will pay the Sun Belt foe $1.7 million for the game, according to FBSchedules.com, the site that reported the news of the non-conference game.

The Crimson Tide will open the 2019 season against Duke on Saturday, Aug. 31, in Atlanta. From there, Nick Saban’s crew (assuming he’s still the coach and hasn’t retired) will take on New Mexico State on Saturday, Sept. 7.

The only other game currently on Alabama’s 2019 schedule is a non-conference matchup against Southern Miss in Week 4 (Saturday, Sept. 21).

New Mexico State finished 3-9 in the 2016 season, going 2-6 in Sun Belt play.
