On Saturday, TideSports.com reported that the Alabama Crimson Tide were working on a potential home-and-home series with Notre Dame.

It appears now that that’s not the only big-name opponent the Tide have in mind. The site has updated its original report, which can be found here, with information saying Texas is also in the mix.

Of course, as was reported originally, AD Greg Byrne wasn’t ready to discuss specifics with reporters:

“I’ll say that we are exploring some home-and-homes,” Byrne said.

Alabama has a pretty full schedule the next couple of years, so these games wouldn’t occur anytime soon, probably.

However, if one (or both) of these series get finalized, it will have college football fans everywhere salivating.
