Report: Alabama to open 2020 season against tough Pac-12 squad

There has been a lot of news surrounding Alabama’s future schedules on Saturday, with reports that the Tide are targeting home-and-home series with teams like Texas and Notre Dame.
Now, it appears they’re also going to open the 2020 season against a big-name foe.
According to Jim Dunaway of JOX, the Tide are going to start the 2020 season against USC, with that game taking place in Dallas:
My sources tell me Alabama vs. USC in Dallas to start the 2020 season and a later Home-and-Home with Texas is also in the works.@AlabamaFTBL #RollTide @TexasFootball @USC_Athletics https://t.co/UZzgeYHszq

Alabama opened the 2016 season against USC, too, so that would be a fun rematch to see. That game sent the Tide rolling on a year in which they lost to Clemson in the title game.
However, Nick Saban and company would hope to have a different outcome to their season after opening against USC this time around, if indeed the 2020 game does come through.
