Former Alabama (and current 49ers) LB Reuben Foster is in the news again for the wrong reason.

According to a report by the San Francisco Chronicle, Foster was arrested in Los Gatos on charges relating to domestic violence. He was booked Sunday at the Santa Clara Jail, and his bail is reportedly set at $75,000.

This marks Foster’s second arrest this offseason. He was arrested in Tuscaloosa in January for possession of marijuana. That process is still ongoing on both the legal side and the NFL side. Foster could already be facing a short suspension for that incident.

And now with a domestic violence arrest, an NFL investigation will take place, along with potential punishment. The NFL suspension for a first-time domestic violence offender is six games.

Foster is coming off a good rookie season and is expected to be a staple on the 49ers defense, but his development could certainly be affected by off-the-field issues.

The 49ers released a statement about Foster’s arrest:
