Reuben Foster quickly became the story of the NFL Combine for all the wrong reasons. After being asked to leave what is, in essence, his NFL job interview, Foster did not even complete the tasks and drills asked of NFL hopefuls at the Indianapolis combine last week.

Foster didn’t make matters any better when he posted a video online expressing his frustration regarding the incident. In the video, Foster challenged media to ask his fellow Alabama teammates what really happened at the combine that resulted in his departure. When media members took Foster up on that request and asked the specific teammates in question about the event, they denied having any knowledge of what led to Foster’s departure from the combine.

With Alabama holding its Pro Day event Wednesday, Foster was given a chance to personally apologize for his actions at the combine. According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, that’s exactly what Foster did.

While this whole incident is odd behavior considering Foster presumably went to the combine to help his stock and not hurt it, in the grand scheme of the pre-draft process, this incident won’t likely cause Foster to fall far, if at all, in the end. Once scouts put on Foster’s tape, it will be clear he is one of the elite prospects in the class and without a doubt, he will be taken with a top pick.

As our very own senior writer John Crist put it best during a recent interview with WJOX 94.5, Foster just needs to keep quiet and show out Wednesday and his stock will remain at the top of every team’s draft board.
