Alabama’s 12 players selected in the NFL Draft last weekend have plenty to live up to. A glance at a few NFL rosters will prove as much.

The Crimson Tide have had their fair share of draft busts just like any other team. In fact, Bama has probably had more players not pan out in the NFL than any other school. Why? Simple math. Alabama sends more players to the NFL than most other schools, which gives them more opportunities for its players to fall short in the NFL. However, there are plenty of good NFL players from Bama.

Here are the top 10:

10. LB Reuben Foster (49ers)

Foster was named to the All-Rookie team after amassing 72 tackles last season. However, serious charges concerning domestic abuse and firearms could seriously jeopardize his career.

9. QB AJ McCarron (Bills)

McCarron was forced to sit behind Andy Dalton when he was a Cincinnati Bengal. However, the Buffalo Bills saw fit to sign him to a $10-million, 2-year contract in hopes he could win the starting job. To do so, McCarron will have to beat out Josh Allen, who the Bills just selected with the 7th overall pick. McCarron seems to have the ability to be a starter but has yet to find the right opportunity.

8. LB Dont’a Hightower (Patriots)

Hightower has been a key figure in the New England defense and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2016. He has 386 tackles and 19 sacks in his 5-year career but missed most of last season with a torn pectoral muscle.

7. DB Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (Packers)

Clinton-Dix has proven to be a playmaker with a nose for the ball. He has 11 interceptions and was named to the 2016 Pro Bowl. However, injuries and team infractions have hampered his career.

6. RB Derrick Henry (Titans)

With the release of DeMarco Murray, Henry is expected to be the featured tailback for the Tennessee Titans this season. Many thought he was better than Murray last season even as Murray received that coveted featured role. Entering his third season, Henry has rushed for 1,234 yards on 286 carries. He could top that this season alone.

5. RB Mark Ingram (Saints)

Ingram hasn’t been flashy like some other New Orleans Saints’ offensive players. However, Ingram has been the go-to tailback for the Saints when they want a power running back and that has been the trend lately for New Orleans. Ingram made the Pro Bowl in 2017, the second appearance in his career. He has 5,362 rushing yards in his career and a 4.5-yard per carry average.

4. DB Landon Collins (Giants)

Collins is a budding superstar who has been named to the Pro Bowl twice and first team All-Pro in 2016. Collins was recently named the 92nd best player in a vote by NFL players. That was a bit of slip after he was named No. 28th following the 2016 season.

3. WR Amari Cooper (Raiders)

In just two seasons, Cooper has caught 203 passes for 2,903 yards. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in both of those seasons and was selected to the Professional Football Writers Association All-Rookie team. Cooper figures to be a star in the NFL for a long time.

2. LB C.J. Mosley (Ravens)

When Mosley was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens with the 17th pick in 2014, the comparisons to former all-time Raven great Ray Lewis were inevitable. While Mosley hasn’t reached those heights, he’s in the midst of a fantastic career. He has been named All-Pro three times while amassing 8 sacks, 8 interceptions, 6 forced fumbles and 5 fumble recoveries.

1. WR Julio Jones (Falcons)

Based on size/speed ratio, there probably isn’t a tougher receiver to defend than Jones, who was the sixth pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. Jones has been named a first-team NFL All-Pro twice and made second team last season. He has caught 585 passes in his career for 9,054 yards.
