Tyler Booker already has an answer prepared when everyone asks the Alabama offensive lineman for his thoughts on the quarterback competition. Does he know who will start on Saturday?

“We don’t know. They don’t know, it’s really not up to us, it’s really up to them to earn the right to play,” he said on The Next Round. “But as far as the offensive line and the rest of the team goes, our mindset is whoever it’s gonna be, we’re gonna be ready to support them because Coach (Nick) Saban plays the cards really close and we’ll all find out on Saturday. Everybody asks me questions like I know, I promise you I don’t know, we’re all going to find out on Saturday.”

Booker even tries to disguise himself attending classes on campus to avoid QB questions.

Much of the reporting from Greg McElroy and others coming out of Alabama suggests that the pecking order during fall camp is Jalen Milroe, Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner. Although McElroy in July predicted that Simpson would win the job.

As was mentioned on The Next Round, it probably won’t matter much who starts this week as the Crimson Tide play host to Middle Tennessee. But next week against Texas is significantly more interesting.
