Tyler Booker makes a regular appearance on The Next Round, and on Monday, he revealed some news. The Alabama offensive lineman revealed that his back spasms have healed after he didn’t finish Saturday’s win over South Florida.

But the more pressing issue was what to do moving forward. And while the quarterback situation is top of mind, Booker said the rest of the teammates try to help all of the QBs succeed, no matter who starts.

And that’s why Booker said Alabama held a players-only meeting on Sunday.

“Everybody got stuff off their chest,” Booker said. “I think everybody is on the same page now. It’s unfortunate it took a loss at Bryant-Denny and a sub-par game at Tampa for that to happen., but I feel like we’re all on the same page now. I’m excited to see how the rest of the season goes now that we’re all on the same page.”

Booker was asked about any divisions in the locker room.

“I wouldn’t say there was any fractions. We need to put an emphasis on togetherness,” Booker said. “I’m not saying we weren’t together, but we’re just emphasizing it more now. That was pretty much the emphasis of the whole meeting. Just coming together, supporting each other. Not saying we weren’t doing that before, but we’re just putting it on the forefront of everything.

“Because if we all do our job, as a unit — as an offensive line, if we all do our job. If the running backs do their job. If the defensive backs do their job. The wide receivers do their job. Then, there’s really nobody that can stop us. We all have to execute at the same time, when we’re supposed to.”

Alabama faces Ole Miss this week, and while the talk of the starting QB will again be a major storyline this week, Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin raised the idea that Alabama changed its defensive play-caller after the loss to Texas.
