USA Today handicapper and sports analyst Danny Sheridan, a frequent guest of “The Paul Finebaum Show,” dropped his preseason top five and those teams’ expected win totals in a Saturday afternoon tweet.

Sheridan’s odds of Alabama’s potential for 11-12 regular-season wins fall in line with the recent odds out of Las Vegas. CG Technology, which operates the sports books for multiple casinos, put Alabama’s over/under mark at 10.5 regular-season wins (over -150, under +120). According to Sheridan, prospective bettors should take the over.

If Alabama and FSU both finish the regular season with 11 wins, the Week 1 opponents could be looking at a rematch in the College Football Playoff.

The Crimson Tide won all 12 regular-season games last season. Alabama previously pulled off back-to-back undefeated regular seasons under Nick Saban in 2008 and ’09, with the latter campaign leading to an SEC title and a BCS championship.
