Once bitter rivals on the field, Alabama head coach Nick Saban and former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow now appear to be as thick as thieves.

ESPN recently tracked Saban down at his Georgia’s Lake Burton home to record a SportsCenter Sunday conversation. While on location, Tebow and fellow ESPN media member Marty Smith went for a swim with Saban at his luxurious hideaway on the water.

“We’re always striving to do something a little different and get these larger than life personalities out of their typical element,” said Smith in a statement regarding the Sunday conversation piece. “We all know Coach Saban in a certain light, as this uber-competitive, process-driven person, and we see how meticulous he is in every facet of his job and in quotes with the media.

“So we wanted to get him out of that norm. We don’t want to set up in a room at the University of Alabama with lights on us and talk – we wanted to do something extremely authentic to him. And as viewers will see in the piece, that lake house for him and (wife) Miss Terry and their family is that refuge, it’s that place where he can remove himself from the football static.

“We all know what he’s done and who he is in the football area, but nobody has really ever tapped the evolution of the man, and it’s fascinating.”

The feature will is set to debut on SportsCenter at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.
