Legendary CBS broadcaster Verne Lundquist will call his final SEC football game on Saturday afternoon as the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide take on No. 15 Florida in the conference championship game.

Before the end of his football broadcasting career, he sat down with AL.com to discuss Alabama’s legacy under coach Nick Saban.

“Their record of national championships under Nick — I can’t imagine it will ever be equaled,” he said in the video. “It might happen, but it will be 15 to 20 years before anybody ever does that again.”

Alabama will try for its third-straight SEC title on Saturday in Atlanta. Tune in to hear Lundquist call the action with partner Gary Danielson at 4 p.m. Eastern time on CBS.
