Alabama looked every bit like the No. 1 team in the nation during Saturday’s 51-14 victory over Louisville.

Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide seem unbothered by a young defense or quarterback controversy, and they sent a message to the college football world in their first game of 2018.

On Monday, Alabama football released a highlight video of Saturday’s win, and it included an inside look at what Saban said to his players in the locker room before the team took the field.

“Now you owe it to yourself and your teammates to go out there and be your best as a football player today,” Saban said. “I’m talking about playing with the best discipline, the best toughness, the best effort, do it for 60 minutes of the game, there is no scoreboard, and you’re relentless in the way you compete. You got to change the way these guys think, and it’s all going to get done out there on the field, and it’s 100 percent up to you, how can you not give 100 percent when it’s 100 percent up to you?”

No wonder Alabama showed no mercy to Louisville on Saturday, Saban knows how to give a pump-up speech!
