Will Anderson didn’t hesitate when asked who was the best player he faced during his time at Alabama.
Texas running back Bijan Robinson was his answer.
“He was a big back,” Anderson said while speaking to reporters at the NFL Combine on Wednesday. “We had to get all hats to the ball. He was going to break a few tackles. We had to tackle him the right way but he was probably the toughest person I faced in college football.”
Here’s video of his remarks:

Alabama held Robinson in check during their game against the Longhorns last fall. He went for 57 yards and 1 touchdown on 27 carries, which was his 2nd-lowest yardage and yards-per-carry output of the entire season. Robinson did pick up 73 more yards through the air against the Crimson Tide.
On the season, Robinson rushed for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns. He’s expected to be picked in the 1st round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Anderson is also expected to hear his name called on Day 1. He was mocked at No. 3 overall by ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. earlier this week.
The NFL Combine runs from Feb. 28 through March 6. The NFL Draft will be held in Kansas City from April 27-29.
