After a loss at LSU a couple of weeks ago, Arkansas backup QB Cole Kelley was arrested for suspected DWI in Fayetteville.

Following the arrest coach Bret Bielema announced that Kelley was suspended indefinitely and would miss the game against Mississippi State.

However, on Monday, Bielema announced that Kelley’s suspension has been lifted and the redshirt freshman would return to the team for Friday’s game against Mizzou:

Kelley has been a big part of the Razorbacks’ offense this year, starting a couple of games while starter Austin Allen dealt with a shoulder injury.

Whether or not Kelley actually sees the field against the Tigers on Friday or not remains to be seen, but he’ll be on the sidelines in uniform, at least.

The massive backup quarterback is a threat in the red zone and in short-yardage situations, so the Tigers will have to make sure they’re prepared to stop Kelley when the Battle Line Rivalry kicks off this week.
