Derrian Ford was a 4-star member of Arkansas’s 2022 recruiting class. He was the No. 3 overall player from the state of Arkansas in his class.
He played sparingly for the Razorbacks this past season, but he showed flashes of what coach Eric Musselman and the Hogs hope he can become.
On Sunday, Ford announced that he was returning to Arkansas for the 2023-24 season:

Ford appeared in 21 games for the Hogs in 2022-23, averaging 3.8 minutes per contest. He scored a total of 15 points and had 10 rebounds, 8 assists and a steal as a true freshman.
What this means for Arkansas
Expect Arkansas to be active in the transfer portal this offseason. Musselman has quite the reputation for landing incredible talent via the portal.
But having a 2-time Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year returning to the fold is never a bad thing. Look for Ford’s role to grow as we get closer to the start of the 2023-24 season.
