Keivie Rose has found a home in the SEC. The standout defensive lineman is transferring from Louisiana Tech to Arkansas.

Rose, from Henderson, Texas, announced his commitment to the Razorbacks on Saturday via his Twitter account.

Rose is entering the fifth year of his college football career. He played just 1 game in 2019, taking a redshirt. The 2020 season does not count against his NCAA eligibility, meaning he arrives in Fayetteville able to play in 2023 and ’24.

Over the past 3 seasons, Rose played in 34 games, making 32 starts at defensive tackle. He has recorded 72 tackles, including 9.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks. He also has 3 pass breakups and 2 forced fumbles in his career.

In 2021, Rose was All-Conference USA Honorable Mention after logging 25 tackles (4 TFL), 1 sack, 4 QB hurries and 2 pass breakups. This past season, Rose earned first-team all-conference honors after posting 24 tackles (4 TFL) and 2 sacks.

Rose announced his entry into the transfer portal on April 24. Arkansas was the first transfer offer he tweeted about. Offers from Ole Miss, TCU, Colorado, West Virginia, Miami, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech and Mizzou followed for the 6-3, 303-pound defender.
