Khalif Battle goes off for 42 points, leading Arkansas to win over Mizzou
Khalif Battle was determined to keep Arkansas from being the first SEC team to lose to Mizzou this season. Battle went off for 42 points, the most by an SEC player this season, in the Razorbacks’ 88-73 win over the Tigers.
Battle made 11-of-15 field-goal attempts, going 6-of-10 from 3-point range. He was also a perfect 14-of-14 at the free-throw line.

Battle is in some exclusive company. His 42 points are second-most for a Razorback in an SEC contest. He’s the first Hog in almost 50 years to score 42 points and grab 6 rebounds.
Khalif Battle is the first @RazorbackMBB player to get 42+ points and 6+ rebounds in a game since Dean Tolson’s 45 & 16 vs. Texas A&M on 3/2/1974

It was a 36-34 game in Arkansas’ favor at the half. Battle helped put Mizzou away in the second half, scoring 26 over the final 20 minutes as part of a 52-point second half for the Hogs.
Battle and the Razorbacks are back over .500 at 14-13 overall. Arkansas will look to improve its SEC standing and make it 3 in a row on Tuesday against Vanderbilt.
