Arkansas is playing Penn State in the Outback Bowl on Saturday, the first college football game of the 2022 calendar year.

Sam Pittman has led the Razorbacks to their 1st bowl game appearance since facing West Virginia in the Belk Bowl in 2016. With a victory over the Nittany Lions, they will have registered their highest win total since a 10-win campaign in 2011. Meanwhile, James Franklin and Penn State enter the contest at 7-5.

Points haven’t exactly been easy to come by for either team so far. But the Hogs found themselves on the other end of a spectacular catch by Penn State wide receiver Parker Washington.

Take a look at the video below:

Fortunately for the Razorbacks, the Nittany Lions possession ended in a punt. But Washington deserves at least a tip of the cap for his highlight-reel play in this one.

Eventually, Penn State added a field goal to go up 10-7 with just over 5 minutes to go before halftime. We’ll see if the Razorbacks can find a way to tie or take the lead before heading to the locker room.
