Auburn DB Jeremiah Dinson injured his shoulder during Auburn’s A-Day game a few weeks ago and then had surgery to repair the damage.

As the start of summer approaches, Dinson is apparently making a speedy recovery and could be back on the field ahead of schedule.

During an appearance on WNSP on Friday, Auburn DC Kevin Steele said he thinks Dinson will return to action sooner rather than later (via AL.com):

“I’ve seen him in the weight room, walking though the weight room. He’s doing really well,” Steele said. “He’s ahead of schedule. I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be back. …

“This day and age in football, a lot of people will see this guy get hurt and had surgery. After 38 years of doing this, I’ve seen a lot of guys have surgery. Some guys are fast healers, depending on the surgery they have. The rehab is so extensive and so good that you have got a chance of getting most everyone of them back.”

Dinson appeared in 14 games for the Tigers in 2017, recording 47 tackles and defending four passes.

With Dinson set to receive a bigger role in the defense this fall, getting him back on the field soon will be crucial. Fortunately, it looks like he’s heading that way.
