Auburn is dealing with multiple injury concerns as it prepares to face South Carolina.

Auburn senior kicker Anders Carlson, a 4-year starter at the position for the Tigers, has reportedly suffered a leg injury and will miss at least the game against the Gamecocks on Nov. 20, according to AL.com.

Carlson redshirted in 2017 and has been the starting kicker since 2018, taking over for his brother, Daniel, who finished as the SEC’s all-time leading scorer and is currently with the Las Vegas Raiders. The younger Carlson has made 14 of his 21 field goals in 2021 and 35 of his 36 PATs.

The news comes as it has been reported that quarterback Bo Nix will require surgery on his injured ankle, likely ending his season. Carlson posted a comment to Nix’s Instagram post that had confirmed the need for the procedure.

Auburn takes on South Carolina on Nov. 20.
