Auburn snapped a two-game losing skid Saturday beating Ole Miss 31-16 in Oxford. The negativity surrounding the program, however, had been going on much longer than two weeks.

Disappointment surrounding the Tigers started with the Sept. 15 loss to LSU. AU bounced back the next week with a win over Arkansas, but an underwhelming 24-13 victory against Southern Miss on Sept. 29 had many concerned about the rest of the season. Those concerns were validated with losses to Mississippi State on Oct. 6 and Tennessee Oct. 13.

It has been a rough few weeks on the Plains. Auburn LB Deshaun Davis shared that the negativity did not bother him. He actually saw it as a good thing showing that fans truly cared about the team.

“I like the fact that they’re frustrated, also. It shows that they … actually care about Auburn football. They’re not just, when we win ‘hooray’ and when we lose, ‘oh well.’ No, you’re supposed to win,” Davis told reporters.
