Auburn reportedly lost 3 players to the NCAA transfer portal early on Tuesday. But that trio isn’t the only Tigers players who are now heading in a new direction.

Senior offensive lineman Tashawn Manning announced on Twitter that he has entered the transfer portal and will play his final year of eligibility at a different school. He shared that decision after the reports came out of senior running back Shaun Shivers, junior defensive end Caleb Johnson and sophomore wide receiver Elijah Canion each deciding to transfer from Auburn.

Manning spent 5 years at Auburn, as he redshirted in 2017, served as a backup guard in 2018 and 2019, then became the starting left guard in 2020. This season, he played in 12 games at both left and right guard, starting the final 3 on the left side.

So the Tigers will be losing an experienced offensive lineman who is versatile enough to play multiple positions. There should be plenty of schools that will have interest in trying to get Manning to come play for their program.

Manning, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 335 pounds, was a defensive lineman when he came to Auburn out of Wekiva High School in Apopka, Fla.
