The Auburn Tigers are no strangers to playing in Atlanta. In fact, they’ll kick off the 2018 season at Mercedes-Benz Stadium against Washington.

Now, they have a return trip planned, as it was announced on Thursday that they’d take on an ACC squad in the 2020 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, though it will actually be a Week 2 matchup.

As you can see below, the Tigers are set to meet North Carolina in Atlanta on Sept. 12, 2020:

According to the release, the SEC holds a huge advantage over the ACC in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game over the years:

The ACC and SEC have met 10 times in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, with the SEC currently holding a 9-1 advantage over the ACC in those games.

Alabama will take on Duke in the 2019 Kickoff Game, and then the Tigers will return to Atlanta in 2020. These games should be a great way to get the season started.
