The first half has lived up to the hype down in Baton Rouge as LSU and Auburn are locked in a real battle in Tiger Stadium.

The score is locked at 10 heading into halftime following a 20-yard field goal by LSU with just 33 seconds remaining in the first half.

Joe Burrow is 22 of 27 for 208 yards and a touchdown, which was caught by Terrance Marshall in his first game back from his foot injury. Bo Nix is 7 of 17 for 65 yards with an interception.

Nix’s interception came at the end of the half as Auburn has an opportunity to put points on the board before the break. Instead, Derek Stingley made an incredible play on the ball and registered his fourth interception of the season.

Before walking into the locker room for the halftime break, Gus Malzahn was asked about the decision to let Nix air it out before the half.

“Well, we came here to win the game,” Malzahn said. “That didn’t work, we are tied at halftime against a really good team. We’ll make some adjustments, come out ready to play in the second half.”

Finally, on his defense, the Auburn coach was asked if the Tigers will win if they continue to hold LSU’s explosive offense.

“Yeah, we definitely do,” Malzahn said.
